Internships & Insights

The Internships & Insights program offers students aged 16 and above the opportunity to gain practical experience and explore professional environments in Salzburg. In addition to school participation and cultural activities, participants can gain insights into local companies, workplaces and different career fields throughout their stay.

The program is designed to combine international exchange with professional development, allowing students to experience everyday working life in Austria while improving communication skills, teamwork and intercultural understanding in a modern and international environment.

Students can choose from three exciting internship fields that provide practical experience, professional insights and the opportunity to explore different career environments. Each internship category offers unique learning opportunities while allowing participants to experience everyday working life in Austria.

Business & Administration

Students aged 16 and above can gain practical experience in modern business and administrative environments in Salzburg. Internship opportunities may include office organization, customer communication, teamwork and insights into areas such as management, marketing and international business operations.

The internships are designed to introduce students to everyday professional life in Austria while improving communication skills, responsibility and intercultural teamwork in a structured working environment. Participants work together with local teams and gain valuable insights into professional workflows and business culture.

Business and administration internships usually take place from Monday to Friday during regular working hours and are especially suitable for students interested in economics, communication and organizational work.

Tourism & Hospitality

Salzburg’s international tourism industry provides students with the opportunity to experience hotels, tourism offices and hospitality environments first-hand. Internship activities may include customer interaction, event support, service organization and insights into the daily operations of tourism-related businesses.
